Domestic Violence Community Education Program |
|
In addition to direct client services, AND makes educational presentations to address the needs of niche communities, such as workplace violence and teen-dating violence. In 2017, AND launched a new initiative to visit community high schools to share information about teen dating violence. The presentations are followed by question and answer sessions and each student receives a special book mark with domestic violence help numbers. AND's staff also conducts clinical and community training programs on the impact of divorce and trauma on children and adolescents. All of AND's education programs are designed to educate the community with the hope that it will break the cycle of violence.
