Our longtime domestic violence professional received the award from the national organization Theresa’s Fund, which combined forces with experts in the field on the first comprehensive awards program honoring heroes of the DV movement.
Rita has been an advocate for domestic violence survivors for over 30 years. Her expertise and dedication to this issue is unparalleled.
Rita credits the success of the agency’s ability to help people empower themselves goes back to the community. It’s the clients that spread the good word. Those that have traveled the journey to break the cycle of violence become advocates for others as they go from victim, to survivor, to guide.
